She was a child and needed care and protection. She almost definitely needed specialist input from CAMHS and specialist support to get an education. Being bounced around isn’t good for any child.
My dad grew up in a children’s home in the 50s and has silently suffered with PTSD his whole life. Sometimes he will say ‘It was so different back then, this wouldn’t happen now.’ but sadly, I think it would and it does 🙁
People don’t care about children in care.
There is something really wrong with the system when I’m being told it’s so strict that decent people can’t adopt or foster…
Yet there are clearly so many scumbags who can.
Remember though, no systematic issues in the care system its all just them Muslims what is the problem.
Crazy with all that went on this has taken years to get any traction. The Jay Report (I think? Possibly one of the later reports) highlighted they found at least one instance of a social care worker actively pimping out their charges and everyone still just lapped up that all these people were just scared of being called racist and that’s why no one said anything for so long.
The grim and depressing reality is that the care system is not fit for purpose, has not been fit for purpose for *decades* if it ever has been, and people would rather make up silly scare stories than look at these systems problems from the ground up. When a child needing care can be looked after by sex offenders and pedophiles, when police can just ignore their complaints and write off bleeding girls in a house full of strange men as “willing prostitutes”, clearly these systems are not going to protect *anyone* from *anything*.
