No disrespect to either of those countries. They absolutely might be right (in that EU shouldn’t talk with Luka). But there are really just 2 options: you either don’t talk with Belarus at all, or you do talk with Belarus and don’t invite those two.

You don’t make peace with friends. If all a nation did was only talk to the countries they liked, then the world would be at war. A politician, especially someone like FM should know this. Belarus is leveraging the EU’s xenophobia against us, unless we suddenly change our minds on taking in migrants, he has has us up against a wall. So negotiations are good, unless people want our leaders to sit on the sidelines huffing while migrants die between Polish and Belarusian soldiers?
