> Through its American arm, the group received $210,525 in 2018 and 2020 from the Sarah Scaife Foundation – set up by the billionaire libertarian heir to an oil and banking dynasty. The US-based foundation has **$30m of shares in 22 energy companies** including **$9m in Exxon** and **$5.7m in Chevron**, according to its financial filings
> **Funding**
> Net Zero Watch is funded by private donations. In order to make clear its complete independence, **neither it nor the GWPF accept gifts from either energy companies or anyone with a significant interest in an energy company.**
In short, all the credibility you’d expect from a propaganda front for climate skeptics servicing billionaires profiteering from planetary destruction.
Sorry but I saw “Climate Septic thinktank” at first 😉
Good – GWPF and the rest of those 55 Tufton street (yes, these disaster masters alongside the similarly illegitimate mouthpieces masquerading as researchers like the Institute for economic affairs) who join together for daily meetings on how to push their pro-whatever their paymasters tell them to line should be chastised and ridiculed rather than held up as bastions of individual inquiry. Frauds the lot of them.
At this stage surely it’s just “denialist” instead of “sceptic”.
