Matheus Ferrari from Portugal who lived in Portmagee for six months last year and who posted a touching farewell video to the South Kerry village upon his departure in November.
Chatting to The Kerryman on a video call last Thursday morning, Matheus Ferrari apologised for the noise of road works taking place outside the Lisbon café he is calling from.
The hustle and bustle of city life is certainly a very far cry from the peaceful and idyllic life that the Portuguese native had been living up to November of last year, when he called Portmagee in South Kerry his home for a few, all-too-short, months.
