Hungarian international Toth set for medical at Cherries ahead of move

THE Daily Echo understands that Alex Toth will undergo his medical at AFC Bournemouth tomorrow morning, ahead of a move from Ferencváros.

As reported, the Cherries agreed a deal with the Hungarian club for a fee of €12 million plus add-ons for the 20-year-old.

Toth has European experience with Ferencváros, playing in Champions League qualifiers and in the Europa League this term.

In total, he has played 25 times in all competitions for his club this term, scoring twice and providing five assists.

The midfielder has also featured nine times for the Hungarian national team, including playing in their World Cup qualifying campaign, which ended at the hands of the Republic of Ireland.

He looks set to become the Cherries’ second signing of the window, after Fraser Forster signed on a six-month deal.
