Optimistic to try to classify donations as income.
The insurance company will probably decline the claim citing an act of god.
Hey guys listen up,pandemic insurance, we’ll never have to pay out.
Well done Fintan,have a bonus.
Can’t really use act of god against… god… can they?
Maybe they should pray harder.
They’ll have to start issuing receipts for plate money to get insurance cover. You can’t manage what can’t be measured.
Actually it’s the perfect money laundering front.
Sell some of those assets you’ve been accumulating.
They will get the money. We are a catholic country with acolytes in every strata of society including Allianz Insurance. (By “we” I mean the majority of the country not literally everyone. Personally I hate the RCC and all Catholics .)
Is all donations not tax free, if you can claim loss of income then shouldn’t you be liable for tax.
You can’t have it both ways.
The church is ‘charity’ and not a business, so it doesn’t matter if it lost income during the pandemic. Can’t have it both ways.
