On their first road trip of the season, a dress rehearsal for next month’s Far East boys tournament, things couldn’t have gone much better for Kadena’s wrestling teams.
Led by Braylon Stephens and brothers Christian and Ryan Luckey on the boys side and Juli Thompson, Mina Anderson and Jasmin Davis on the girls side, the Panthers boys went 5-0 and the girls 3-0 in Saturday’s Korea Classic at Humphreys Middle School.
“We just got focused,” Kadena coach Joey Wood said. “It was a lot of fun, especially performing as we did. It was a good experience, a good confidence builder, and it reinforced what we believed from the beginning of the season.”
