The service combines IBM’s consulting expertise with a set of pre-built AI tools and assets, enabling businesses to redesign workflows, integrate AI with current systems and deploy agentic applications at scale. According to IBM, Enterprise Advantage allows companies to do this without changing their cloud providers, AI models or core infrastructure.

Enterprise Advantage supports a wide range of platforms and technologies, including Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure and IBM watsonx, as well as open‑ and closed‑source AI models. IBM said this approach is intended to help organisations extend the value of their existing AI and cloud investments rather than replace them.

The new service is built on IBM Consulting Advantage, the company’s internal AI-powered delivery platform used by its consulting teams. IBM said the platform has supported more than 150 client engagements to date and has increased consultant productivity by up to 50%, helping accelerate project delivery.

By making this capability available to clients, IBM aims to help organisations navigate an increasingly complex AI marketplace and establish scalable, governed AI platforms tailored to their business needs.

IBM cited the example of a manufacturing company that used Enterprise Advantage to implement its generative AI strategy. The project involved identifying high‑value use cases, testing targeted prototypes and aligning senior leadership around a platform‑first approach. The company is now rolling out AI assistants using multiple technologies within a secure, governed environment, with plans to expand generative AI across the wider organisation.
