Its just weird to me. Cool of course, but unnerving.
I, for one, wellcome our new holograph overlords.
ABBA Voyage is a concert residency by the Swedish pop group ABBA. The concerts feature ABBA as virtual avatars (dubbed ‘ABBAtars’), depicting the group as they appeared in 1979. The concerts are held in a purpose-built venue at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London, officially called ABBA Arena.
The ABBA band members wore motion capture suits as part of the development process and were filmed as they performed a 22-song set over the course of five weeks. Some 160 cameras were used, with graphics later added by George Lucas’s Industrial Light & Magic. The digital band are accompanied by a live band on stage.
I’d go but only if the audience was holographic as well.
Too weird. It just solidifies the notion that the western babyboomer of which Abba are part just don’t know how to age gracefully.
ABBA was and is all about the money and not the music.
Ok, this is great. Now I just need to find a way to set up one of these things in my office.
Cringe.
the payment for the ticket will also be holographic
lol, ok whatever. proof fools and their money part easily
So dystopian
I‘m pretty sure technically this has nothing to do with holography.
