A&N Electric Cooperative will launch a new feature in SmartHub this January that will help members better understand how their homes use electricity. This tool, called Bidgely, breaks down energy usage to the appliance-level giving members greater insight into their energy habits.

Bidgely uses advanced computer programs and artificial intelligence to study the data from electric meters. With this information, Bidgely can determine how much energy different household appliances – like water heaters, refrigerators, and air conditioners – use throughout the day. No additional devices are needed in the home.

With this new SmartHub feature, members will be able to:

See which appliances use the most energy in your home.

Receive practical suggestions on how to lower your bills based on usage patterns.

Compare your home’s energy use to similar homes.

Check your energy insights anytime on the SmartHub website or mobile app.

“These new tools will give our members a simple way to see where their energy goes,” said A&N Electric Cooperative’s Director of Member Services Lori Shreaves. “When people understand how they use electricity, they can make better decisions and save money.”
