Romania has initiated a plan to create a trilateral Chamber of Commerce and Industry with Moldova and Ukraine. The idea was announced at an international conference held in Chisinau on January 20.
Ukrinform’s correspondent was told this by the head of the Chernivtsi District Council, Mykola Kutsak.

Currently, all three sides – Romanian, Moldovan, and Ukrainian – have expressed their intention to participate in the future Chamber of Commerce and Industry. And the European Union has given its consent to this. In practice, this could mean closer cooperation between our countries and financial support to Moldova and Ukraine on the path to the EU. In particular, from our position, the discussion will be about Ukraine’s recovery from the consequences of hostilities

He joined Ukraine’s delegation in the working group. It also includes representatives of the three mentioned countries, the European Union, and the European Parliament. The formed working group will coordinate the next steps toward launching the future platform.
According to the head of the Chernivtsi District Council, after launching the joint trilateral Chamber of Commerce and Industry, EU grant programs are expected to be directed toward supporting Moldova and Ukraine’s recovery.

Further steps toward creating the future Chamber of Commerce and Industry will be announced later.
Additionally: Moldova has begun the process of a full withdrawal from the CIS, and the International Register of Damages has recorded more than 100,000 claims from Ukrainians.
