MONTGOMERY – The top two quarterbacks in Shelby County are officially among the top 12 players in Alabama.

Spain Park quarterback Brock Bradley and Thompson quarterback Trent Seaborn were selected to the 2025 Super All-State Team by the Alabama Sportswriters Association at its annual football awards banquet on Tuesday, Jan. 20 at the Renaissance Montgomery Hotel.

Both were present to accept their honors as Seaborn won Class 7A Back of the Year and Bradley was nominated for Class 6A Back of the Year. Bradley ultimately lost to Clay-Chalkville quarterback Aaron Frye.

The Super All-State Team is made up of the top 12 vote-getters during the ASWA’s All-State football selection process. Athletes are chosen regardless of classification or position.

Bradley joins William Green as the only Spain Park players to receive Super All-State selections. The high school All-American Green went on to win a national championship for Florida in 2008 and is now the defensive line coach at West Virginia.

Bradley went for 2,939 yards and 32 touchdowns against just five interceptions while completing 64 percent of his passes.

As a result, he earned selections to the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Game, Class 6A All-State First Team and All-County Second Team behind only Thompson quarterback Trent Seaborn.

It was Bradley’s third-straight selection to the All-State Team, earning an Honorable Mention in each of the past two seasons in 7A in 2023 and 6A in 2024. He was also an All-County pick in each of his three seasons as a starter, making the Second Team in 2023 and 2025 and the First Team in 2024.

Bradley graduated from Spain Park in December and is now a freshman at Clemson, where he signed to play football ahead of his junior season. He will play under Pelham native Dabo Sweeney and likely back up former Briarwood Christian quarterback Chris Vizzina in 2026.

Seaborn finished the 2025 season with 3,689 passing yards and 35 touchdowns against seven interceptions and added five rushing touchdowns. He averaged 263.5 passing yards per game across the Warriors’ 14 contests and finished the year with a 72 percent completion rate.

The award adds to Seaborn’s local, statewide and nationwide recognition after leading the Warriors to their sixth state championship in the past seven years.

Seaborn received a Super All-State selection for the second year in a row and is the ninth selection in Thompson program history. He stands alongside Taulia Tagovailoa, Ahmad Edwards, Sawyer Pate, Jeremiah Alexander, Conner Harrell and Anquon Fegans.

In addition, he joined Tagovailoa as the only two players in program history to earn two Super-All-State selections. Seaborn said it’s a great honor to share an accomplishment with a man he considers a mentor and longtime friend.

“I’ve always looked up to Taulia,” Seaborn said. “He’s like a big brother to me. I’m very, very close to him and the rest of their family, and he’s been a tremendous part of my life, as was his dad. And they’re just such great people, he was such a great football player. He’s still doing well now as well. And he really took me under his wing when I was little, taught me the ropes to everything, and then he kind of paved the way for not only me, but the other quarterbacks at Thompson as well.”

Seaborn earned his third-straight All-American selection from MaxPreps, making the Junior All-American First Team in 2025 after earning a Sophomore All-American First Team selection in 2024 and both Freshman All-American First Team and Freshman of the Year honors in 2023.

He was also selected to the All-State Team for the third-straight season and made his second-straight appearance on the All-State First Team for Class 7A while earning Back of the Year honors for the first time.
