The winner of Hakohav Haba will head to Eurovision in May

The annual talent show in Israel, Hakohav Haba (The Rising Star) has got a new champion.

Noam Bettan has scored victory in the latest series of the show and along with the win has earned the opportunity to represent Israel at the 70th Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna, this upcoming May.

A panel of judges and the audience watching at home cast their votes in the final of the show, on Tuesday 20 January, with Noam Bettan emerging as the winner by a majority.

Noam, 27, was born to a family from France and raised in Ra’anana, Israel.

A singer-songwriter fluent in French, Noam began his musical journey eight years ago. Since then, he has released a debut album in 2023, as well as a series of hit singles that have topped the official radio charts domestically and garnered millions of plays on streaming platforms.

Performing nationwide with his band, Noam has gained extensive experience as a live performer.
