On the morning of 21st January, there is ice on the roads in Kurzeme and Vidzeme, said Latvian State Roads (LVC).

Driving conditions are difficult on the main roads A9, A10.

On regional roads, driving conditions are poor everywhere except around Ogre, Aizkraukle, Jēkabpils, Madona, Ludza, Rēzekne, and Daugavpils.

27 maintenance units are clearing the roads.
