  1. Jeez. I used to, but now I tend to limit myself to water. Unless if I go out, then I might drink a few soft drinks to keep my energy up, lol.

  2. Wtf is it with these maps showing Belgium is really good at bad stuff and really bad at good stuff?? Do we have a fucking map where Belgium is actually good at good stuff??

  3. Thing i dont understand is, when i’m in Belgium i love sweetened soft drinks, but when i go to Turkey i absolutely hate it. Even when i eat something like a burger/Döner. 🧐

  4. would maybe help though if all these frituur stopped trying to incentivize me to buy their stupid menus that are often just something with a soft drink

  5. Jesus Christ. I like soft drinks as much as the next guy but I drink them only once or twice a week. Is there any reason why we’re twice as bad as France or Germany? How does this vary between Flanders, Wallonia and Brussels?

  6. Do i drink it daily? I could say yes because i bring a 500ml bottle of Coke with me to work, the rest of the time i drink water. I used to have soda at home to drink but i stopped doing that a few years ago, only drink water. Maybe once a month i drink a bottle of soda (500ml) at home.

  7. I know people that almost never drink water, they’re always drinking one of those horrible zero calories versions of sometimes decent drinks out there. I secretly despise them and all that zero crap has given them an excuse to drink as many of them as they can, before the (mostly) girls would switch to water after one or 2 sugared drinks in an evening.
I want mine with sugar for the taste and the maximum I consume is 1 can a day, for the rest it’s fizzy water or tapwater.
And I never got those disgusting energy drinks, now even in light variants, WTF? Aren’t those supposed to be full of calories?
Coffee contains 0 calories by the way and also works…

  8. I see these maps floating to this subs very regularly. I can conclude Belgium is always the most or highest in everything hahaha most taxed, most roberies,…

  9. For anyone wishing to quit soft drink, I can highly recommend Spa fruit flavored water.
Tastes really good imo, no sugar or sweeteners.

  10. As another user on the linked post pointed out, here’s the breakdown of what is included:

    >The indicator presented in this article shows the frequency of drinking regular soft drinks, whether carbonated or not carbonated, bottled ice tea, energy drinks, syrup-based drinks and similar or any other non-alcoholic soft drinks that contain (a lot of) sugar. *All kinds of light, diet or artificially sweetened soft drinks are not included*, neither are coffee and tea, even if sweetened with some sugar.

Was initially surprised at how low the overal % was, until I read the highlighted bit. If it was included, I wonder just how bigger every % would be.

I’m also curious how a similiar map but with % of people that drank alcohol on the daily would compare.

  11. Good map, but doesn’t show what people drink daily instead. Highly doubt Turkish people don’t drink sugared tea every day, just to name something.

  12. When I started studying I drank 1.5 l of cola a day. I’m glad I got rid of that. I now only drink sugar free drinks at home and I’m still slightly heavier than I would like to be.

  13. Was able to drop my consumption to 2 25cl cans a day but i still NEED it. Cola, and ice tea. One each a day. I dont smoke i only drink our beers on occasions I NEED THE SODA
