Bear in mind in the 1980s just fifteen fatalities that entire decade led to the Dangerous Dogs Act, there have now been 12 so far this decade, a rate of 50 per decade; but half of those have happened in the first five months of this year, a rate of 144 per decade.
It’s interesting how people assess risk.
From reading the stats about fatal dog attacks, notwithstanding which breed carries out the attack, it would appear that living in the North is far more of a risk than whether the dog is a Bull Terrier.
I should point out, I don’t like Bull Terriers much, but dogs aren’t born killers of men. They are either treated badly or not trained/badly trained.
I recently met someone with scratches all over , from his friend’s dog attacking him .. he stayed 5 days in hospital.. but it’s a big one not poodle .. he said it tried to kill him and he was bleeding and lost lot of blood
Carnivore + Pack Animal + Lack of Respect/Awareness + Lack of Natural Environment/Exercise = Face Off Time
As an aside, I got shredded by a kitten once. A little ball of fluff. And as I found out, claws and very sharp teeth. I was a mess. Sadly I had to throw the kitten away from me as it drew blood and tore holes in my shirt. It was fine by the way. But a hell of a shock.

Cue all the ‘dog-lovers’ going “it’s not the breed it’s the owner”
(Hint: it’s totally the breed – ain’t no one ever got their face ripped off by a poodle)
Bet it was a shitbull
How many deaths is it going to take before people start taking the idea seriously that dog ownership needs to be heavily restricted?
The owner of the dogs bred American bullies.
