Princess Anne has allegedly been having talks with her brother, King Charles and her nephew, Prince William, about Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s “harsh” treatment, it has been claimed. The disgraced former Duke of York found himself with no titles and honours and lost the home he had had since 2003, Royal Lodge, following the furore regarding his links to convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Andrew was banished into humiliation and spent Christmas alone in Windsor, while the rest of the Royal Family were in Norfolk, attending the annual church service at Sandringham.

Despite denying all allegations against him, the former prince agreed to give up his lease on Royal Lodge and move to a much smaller property in the King’s Sandringham Estate after it emerged that he had been paying “peppercorn” rent. Now, sources claimed that there are some members of the Royal Family who think Andrew was treated too “harshly” by the Firm, and they are no other than his other two siblings, the Princess Royal and the Duke of Edinburgh.
