Imagine having to do that every night except you don’t own a car.
Make one of the probably many conference rooms into a dorm so they can bunk down.
The system working by their own design.
When you lie so much, you end up with ridiculous lies.
Now show they’re not claiming expenses
Is it Eamon Ryan again? He loves a good power nap.
You’d think this would give them the political will to try fix the issue but I’m sure they will all agree to raise their hotel room allowance to ensure they can outbid the Ukrainians for hotel rooms then move on with their lives.
This is darkly funny. Doctors, guards, and now politicians can’t find a place to live. What’s even the point in going to college?
If only they or people they knew were in a position to do something about it 😔
I have a home in Dublin (on the commuter belt), and my daily commute is an hour each way. It’s been like this for 15+ years (my entire working career). What’s their problem? This is life in Dublin.
If you believe that I’ve a bridge to sell you
Great! Maybe those scumbags might do something about the housing crisis! Ironic considering many are getting brown envelopes from developers. Bastards!
Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
“I didn’t expect the leopard to eat _my_ face”, sobs man who voted for the Leopards Eating Peoples Faces party.
Can’t even get a room for 200e a night, poor people, this what happens when government cunts, oh wait 😅😐
Won’t someone think of the poor politicians.
sure its grand though lads. keeping voting for fine gael! the boom is back!!!
Won’t do them any harm, besides it’s not going to make them work any harder to deal with the housing crisis.
And by effectively banning airbnb, all tourists and accommodation seekers are left with is overpriced hotels.
Quite embarrassing for the government on two fronts first it shows how bad it is in Dublin from and accomodation perspective but secondly one of their own playing the poor me with a 70K salary and an allowance of 120 a night when so many are homeless.
If they travelled even an hour down the road they might get something more affordable.
I believe there’s a subreddit that would enjoy this. The one about leopards and faces
Oh lovely. A piece of spin that implies we need more hotels. No cronyism here.
Have they tried shopping around and eating less avocado toast?
Their commutes are a nightmare because they’ve neglected public transportation for decades, and they’re sleeping im cars because of their atrocious housing policy. What’s next for these poor souls? Waiting 2 years to see a consultant? Being assaulted by packs of teenagers with hundreds of prior convictions while the gardai cancel their 999 calls? My heart goes out to them.
