Chronicle of events and consequences

«Right now we have no confirmation that Lukoil-Moldova has fulfilled the state’s requirements. We still have not received its (the company’s) infrastructure»

– Roman Kozhukhar

Lukoil-Moldova stated that they would not comment on the situation.

The publication notes that according to the council’s decision of December 15, which considers investments important for national security, the company was to transfer the fuel infrastructure of Chisinau Airport into state ownership within 20 days.

When the deadline expired and the decision had not been fulfilled, Lukoil was obliged to pay a penalty equal to 5% of turnover, but not more than 5 million lei, and to provide another five days to transfer the assets.

However, on January 14 state authorities received an official refusal from the company to sign the deed of acceptance and transfer of property.

The publication also notes that Lukoil-Moldova cited the lack of consent from the sole founder – Lukoil International GmbH.

The Investment Council said that due to term violations and ignoring the decision, they plan to gradually apply measures provided by the Investment Law that affect national security.

As Ukrinform reported, the Chisinau airport received the fuel terminal of the company “Lukoil” for free use.

In their actions there are signs of criminal offenses defined by Article 345 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine ‘Threats or violence against a law enforcement officer’ and Article 194 ‘Deliberate destruction or damage to property’. The relevant notices were sent to the National Police
