Janis and Gatis Bleive want to raise money to take their brother, Atis, home to Latvia for his funeral. The GoFundMe has been launched on their behalf by Agnese Bleive.

Thirty-seven-year-old Atis was found unresponsive in a property in Osborne Road at around 4pm on Sunday, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

In a heartfelt plea for support for their GoFundMe, Agnese wrote: “We lost our brother prematurely and unexpectedly; our hearts are breaking with grief.

“Jānis and Gatis have experienced an unimaginable and painful tragedy; on January 18, their brother Atis passed away.

“His unexpected and painful loss has left the family in a difficult financial situation.
The relatives wish to bring Atis to Latvia so that he can be buried in his homeland.

“Since the repatriation of mortal remains is a very expensive process, dear friends, acquaintances, and kind-hearted people, we want to sincerely ask for any support and assistance.

“Thank you to everyone for your sympathy and support.”

The appeal is looking to raise £6,500, and has so far raised just under £500.
