What’s the benefit to the ~65m people in England, Scotland, and Wales to damage their relations with the US and EU over 250k DUP/TUV members who are a minority in Northern Ireland?
The majority of people who voted on 5th May support the protocol.
It’s not even a matter devolved to the NIA.
So why does a small, dissenting voice, get to cause such a big problem?
Good.
DUP are just mad didn’t turn out as they wanted. They’d rather a modern repeat of the Troubles than minimal customs border to accommodate the GFA.
Other countries support international relations and trade based on obeying the agreed rules. What a surprise!
