WASHINGTON — The U.S. Department of Defense released its long-awaited 2026 National Defense Strategy on Friday night, in which it declared that the ultimate goal in the Indo-Pacific is to ensure that China cannot “dominate,” rather than denying or defeating a Taiwan invasion.
