GREENSBORO, N.C. — Duke Energy has staged hundreds of utility trucks across the Triad and nearby areas in preparation for potential severe weather, according to company officials.
About 400 trucks are staged at Four Seasons Town Centre in Greensboro, while approximately 100 trucks are positioned at a site at 421 W. 27th St. in Winston-Salem, Duke Energy PIO Logan Stewart said.
An additional staging area is planned at the Joel Coliseum in Winston-Salem, though that site is not yet set up and the number of trucks there has not been determined.
Farther northwest, about 800 utility trucks are staged at 1609 Industrial Ave. in Wilkesboro, Stewart said.
