Might be quite an interesting investigation given how controversial the F35 is in various circles. Pilot error, mechanical fault, maybe even something inherently wrong with a system onboard. All we know now is that fanboys of certain other jets are creaming themselves.
Anyone know what the go-to response to the loss of modern, high tech jet is in this circumstance? Will they have to fish it out somehow or just hope the sea hides/fucks it up enough?
That’s an expensive ass crash. Hopefully it was human error and not the F35 otherwise Lockheed are going to get some real bad publicity.
Maybe a dumb question but do lost aircraft usually get replaced by default or does this mean the RAF will have one less from now on?

Niche fact – on ejecting from a plane, a pilot can become a member of the Martin-Baker Ejection Tie Club, an exclusive club for those that have ejected using a Martin Baker ejection seat.
