The Brits love talking about the weather and those living in the North East and Cumbria have been given plenty to discuss over the seven days.

From misty mornings to golden evenings, and even a few outright sunny days, this mid-January week feels like it captured all weathers in one go.

The BBC Weather Watchers have been out snapping their best views of this winter weather.
