Two MTU Kerry academics travelled to Romania recently to lecture on foreign language education and intercultural communication.

The Interconnected Learning and Teaching Conference (ILT 2025) attracted academics and practitioners from across Europe.

Professor Muiris Ó Laoire delivered the conference keynote address on the importance of real-life skills like communicating with people from different cultural backgrounds, and speaking foreign languages.

While, Dr Kristin Brogan led an intercultural workshop on strengthening communication across cultural contexts and improving learner interest.

MTU Kerry is working with INGENIUM partner universities on spreading innovative teaching practices.
