President Trump announced that he’ll be sending his border czar, Tom Homan, to Minnesota on Monday night.
But the president is also continuing to try to draw attention away from the fatal shooting of Alex Pretti over the weekend by focusing on other issues in the state, including writing about the alleged fraud there and mentioning Rep. Ilhan Omar.
“I am sending Tom Homan to Minnesota tonight. He has not been involved in that area, but knows and likes many of the people there. Tom is tough but fair, and will report directly to me,” Trump wrote in a social media post.
Trump went on to claim that the Department of Justice and Congress are investigating Omar, but as of now, House committees are investigating alleged fraud in Minnesota, not specifically Omar.
