What’s the point of paying taxes if you still have to pay an arm and a leg to access public services?
This is the problem with Fire Service being provided by Local Authorities. The budget is cut repeatedly and then they try to make up the difference in exorbitant fees. National service is needed but that won’t fly as there are literally too many Chiefs who will lose their jobs if it’s streamlined.
