The fire was downgraded from an emergency warning about 3:40pm local time, after burning for more than two hours.

Locals who spoke to the ABC reported seeing “explosions” of black smoke believed to be caused by the electrical boxes which run the farm.

The smoke can be seen continuing to gush out from the swampy terrain as fire crews are trying to put out the fire.

At least five helicopters were deployed to help fight the fire, and several fire crews can be seen on the ground.

The bushfire is burning in a westerly direction.

“[The firefighters have been] brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. They’re right on top of it,” she said.

“It’s like continuous, continuous, continuous [water drops]. Hats off to them – they’ve done a wonderful job.”

An earlier emergency warning issued for a fire burning further south near Landsdale has also since been downgraded.

In that area, large plumes of black smoke were seen rising from the Gnangara pine plantation.
