I’ve watched some of the trial the last few days. I think they were both abusive in different ways. Drugs and Booze just made it worse. They probably had an intoxicating courtship and when reality hit, it was devastating for both. I actually feel sad for them both. They both needed to be sober to have a chance to part in peace. Neither could maintain that. I actually saw both sides when I listened to the recordings. They wanted to save each other, but we all need to save ourselves. Having been married to an alcoholic , it is heartbreaking to see the one you love passed out. It’s very isolating. She had her own issues and she reacted with histrionics and shaming. I hope they both get good therapists. They will do it again if they don’t get help
