IT REALLY GETS PEOPLE FIRED UP ABOUT SKIING STACKING ON TOP OF THEIR HARD WORK, LETTING CUSTOMERS HIT THEIR BEST TRICKS. AND NOT ALL SNOW IS CREATED EQUAL. THE MANMADE SNOW IS A LOT DENSER, SO IT’S A LOT MORE SOLID. WE MAKE IT TO STICK AROUND, LAST A LONG TIME, GIVE YOU THE BEST EXPERIENCE POSSIBLE. THE FRESH WHITE POWDER TENDS TO BE MORE DESIRABLE WHEN SNOW FALLS FROM THE SKY. IT’S GENERALLY LIGHTER, ESPECIALLY THIS LAST STORM. IT WAS A LOT COLDER, SO THE SNOW IS A LOT LIGHTER. SO IF YOU GET EIGHT TEN INCHES OF NATURAL SNOW, IT MIGHT EQUAL OUT TO ABOUT 1 OR 2IN OF THE MANMADE SNOW WE MAKE. SO IT COMPRESSES A LOT BETTER. IT’S ALL POSITIVE HERE. WHEN THE SNOW HITS THERE ARE NO NEGATIVE IMPACTS OF SNOW. WE HANDLE THE SNOW. WE HAVE THE TALENT, THE STAFF, THE SKILL. OUR CUSTOMERS LOVE IT. ALTHOUGH ROADS MIGHT BE CHALLENGING, THEY HAVE DEDICATED CUSTOMERS WAITING FOR THAT FRESH SNOW. SO THE DIEHARDS ALL GOT HERE. SOME EVEN CAMPED OUT IN THE PARKING LOT HERE SO THEY WOULD BE READY. The recent snowfall and cold temperatures have positively impacted Roundtop Mountain Resort, attracting eager skiers and snowboarders to the slopes.

So, it’s a lot more solid. We make it to stick around, last a long time, give you the best experience possible,” McDowell explained. “When snow falls from the sky, it’s generally lighter, especially this last storm. It was a lot colder, so the snow is a lot lighter.”The resort is well-prepared to handle the snow. “There are no negative impacts to snow. We handle the snow. We have the talent, the staff, the skill,” McDowell said. And customers are anxiously waiting to enjoy the fresh snow. “The diehards all got here, some even camped out in the parking lot here so they would be ready. And then once the roads all got clear, we’ve had a really busy week or expecting to be busy straight through.”The resort is open every day of the week, with the season running until roughly mid-March.
