I look at the graph and see that something happened in 2007-2008. Poles, can you tell?
You could argue that you can see a general pattern of becoming more tolerant overall, which is actually great for a nation. I think that with that in mind you have to adjust the longer term changes and basically look at changes vs. the “mean” of all sampling. Interesting data overall for sure.
I like how the sympathy towards Ukrainians and Lithuanian has been rising through the years

Wtf, even after 2014, Russians are better viewed than Romanians? Baffling. It seems that the key to Polish heart is to wipe out their country. Strange fetish, indeed.
The 2022 data is interesting. Apparently Poles became less friendly towards Americans, English, and Czechs. Which seems weird.
Since the start of the war the attitude towards these nations has been more positive than ever. Hell I would say 2020 and 2021 was when the public opinion of these nations dipped by quite a bit. So I don’t understand where this trend is coming from.
I remember standing on a bridge and waving and cheering at a huge convoy of polish fire engines loaded with firefighters ready to come and help fight the huge 2018 Swedish wildfires. It was an amazing and heart warming show of solidarity and selflessness that I’m sure most Swedes will never forget.
So our favourite nations are:
* Czechs- because their language is cute and they have great beer
* Slovaks- basically small Czechs
* Italians- they’re always happy and have great food
* Hungarians- because of all this polish-hungarian friendship thing
* and Americans- American dream?
