As Trump’s policy of deploying increased numbers of Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents comes under increased pressure, various famous faces in the world of television and music have spoken out.
The murder of Renee Good was followed by the equally as horrific cold-blooded killing of Alex Pretti, just days later, as ICE agents went from ham-fisted to horror film, firing multile shots at both victims – both defenceless, law-abiding citizens.
Among the most visible responses, pop musician Billie Eilish and singer Olivia Rodrigo took to social media in the wake of the Minneapolis shootings to condemn ICE’s actions. Eilish pressed her fellow artists to break their silence, while Rodrigo urged her millions of followers to support those affected and to hold authorities accountable.

Writing on social media, Eilish said “hey my fellow celebrities you gonna speak up or what?”, which came after a post that highlighted how 67% of homicides in Minneapolis so far in 2026 have come at the hands of federal agents.
Olivia Rodrigo wrote: “ICE’s actions are unconscionable but we are not powerless. Our actions matter. I stand with Minnesota.” Meg Stalter, of Hacks fame, said in an Instagram video that “I’ve tried for hours to upload the same video and it wouldn’t show it to one person,” adding “ABOLISH ICE! Delete TikTok!”
Several other names from Hollywood have added their voices to the chorus of dissent. Pedro Pascal, known for his work on both television and film, shared messages that called for transparency about the fatalities, as well as telling Variety: “Fuck the people who try to make you scared. Fear is the way that they win.”
