DEI policies are more than a compliance obligation, say GCs

Despite recent political discourse and US executive orders targeting diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) policies in the workplace, panellists at LACCA’s recent conference in Miami suggested that companies across the region should move away from viewing these initiatives through a purely compliance lens. Instead, speakers recommended perceiving them as rooted in ethics, cultural values and good business strategy.
