Two exercises of the Collective Security Treaty Organisation will be held in October in Belarus – as stated by CSTO Secretary General Taalatbek Masadykov in an interview posted on the Allies. CSTO website
“The Interaction, Search, Echelon, Frontier joint military exercises will be held as is traditional: certain aspects of troop training are annually worked out as part of them, taking into account the latest combat experience. In October, the Indestructible Brotherhood 2026 command and staff drills will be held on the territory of Belarus with the CSTO peacekeeping forces. We will also co-ordinate activities in the field of preventing biological threats in order to create a reliable system for ensuring the biological security of the CSTO. The Barrier 2026 special CSTO drills will be held on the territory of Belarus in October, thus continuing the practice of training joint tasks to eliminate biological threats in the interests of the CSTO collective peacekeeping forces,” Mr. Masadykov said.
“In the field of countering challenges and threats, we will consistently increase our potential and work experience aimed at improving the effectiveness of the fight against terrorism and extremism, countering drug trafficking, combating illegal migration, and crimes in the field of information technology,” the CSTO Secretary General added. “We will continue to carry out practical measures in the form of special operations under the code names Mercenary, Channel, Illegal, and PROXY.”
As noted by Mr. Masadykov, the organisation will continue to actively work on information, analytical and forecasting support, co-ordination of efforts of the civil scientific and expert community, expansion of the CSTO presence on social networks and strengthening its image.
