I’m new to Luxembourg city and would like to know what is the best credit card in Lux, regarding Miles, Cashback, and other possible benefits. I saw a lot of discussions surrounding BCEE, Amex, [crypto.com](https://crypto.com), also saw that some of them changed the proportion €/miles. But at the end, which card is the best in 22?
Would love to hear you all about this, thanks in advance.

What do you want to achieve? For the average person, the best card is probably the one with lowest yearly fee.
None. They all suck unfortunately.
Far less attractive than in the US. European credit cards suck but Luxembourg in particular sucks in particular as most cards, offered in Europe, aren’t available in Luxembourg.
In Luxembourg you have AFAIK two easy options for collecting miles:
* BCEE’s miles and more card and
* Amex Brussels Airlines card.
The former is on the expensive side and comes with certain perks (a few vouchers to access the lounge if booked on a Luxair flight; a few fast track vouchers if booked on a Luxair flight; the usual insurances). The letter has a better rate to earn miles (I think 1.5 or 2 miles per EUR spent whereas the BCEE entitles you to 1 mile per EUR 2 spent). The Amex card has an annual bonus if you spend EUR X,000.
Your BCEE card will work anywhere in Luxembourg whereas acceptance of Amex is more limited (the major supermarkets, petrol stations, stores, etc. accept it; smaller stores generally only accept Visa and MC). For online transactions, there’s very few sites where you couldn’t use the Amex directly or via Paypal.
Another downside of Amex is that BENELUX Amex cards don’t support Apple Pay, whereas BCEE fully supports Apple Pay.
IMO, while the cards aren’t as good as the one in the US and limited to Miles&More (the BA Amex in Lux would be great), you still get to collect some sort of points as opposed to not getting anything at all.
If you’re really after miles, spuerkees is the way to go.
If you’re after value for money, crypto.com has shit the bed recently and is only worth it If you REALLY want free Spotify and netflix. And let’s see for how much longer that is. so I’d advice going for the binance credit card. You can charge it up with euro and hold their cryptocurrency BNB(for a substantial sum) and get up to 8%, but 1 or 2% is affordable-ish.
Alternatively you can go for Bitpanda which gives you 1% and is completely free.
From experience, forget about Amex. The whole trouble of “Will it be accepted or not” is not worth the membership rewards.
