As the countdown to their long-awaited return draws closer, fans of BTS are going back to where it all began — the music. Old favorites are finding their way back onto playlists, quietly pushing up streaming numbers and offering an early signal of the anticipation building around the group’s first full-member comeback in nearly four years.

BigHit Music said Thursday that BTS’s track Yet To Come surpassed 100 million cumulative streams in Japan as of December, earning a platinum streaming certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan. Another song, Love Maze, crossed the 50 million-stream threshold, securing a gold certification.

The Japanese association grants monthly streaming certifications based on total play counts, with gold awarded for more than 50 million streams, platinum for over 100 million and diamond for 500 million or more. BTS has now accumulated 16 platinum and 48 gold streaming certifications in Japan, reaffirming its sustained popularity in one of the world’s largest music markets.

“Yet To Come” is the title track of BTS’s anthology album Proof, a reflective song that looks back on the group’s musical journey while pointing toward a hopeful future. “Love Maze” appears on the group’s 3rd full-length album LOVE YOURSELF 轉 TEAR, expressing the desire not to lose one another while navigating emotional uncertainty.

The renewed streaming momentum comes as BTS prepares for its long-anticipated return as a full group. The band is set to release its 5th studio album, ARIRANG, on March 20, marking its first complete-group album in three years and nine months.

To mark the comeback, BTS will hold a special performance at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul on March 21. The group will then launch a world tour starting April 9 at Goyang Sports Complex, with concerts scheduled across 34 cities worldwide.
