Maybe, hypothetically, the entire UK except for Tory safe seats can secede from the parts that are Tory safe seats. It sounds like it would be tremendously difficult both legislatively and bureaucratically but if achieved the potential payoff for this new nation would be much better than the economic predictions for an independent Scotland.

But you said that a few years back and probably said it last year. Does the SNP even have a proper plan for an independent scotland? The scottish Pound would have to be backed by Scotland. Borders would have to be re-established and basically get treated like another country next to England. Trade deals, diplomatic stuff etc…

I can see Scotland splitting from the UK(either via a giant circular buzzsaw that Boris had comissioned and we somehow manage to literally cut them and send Scotland up north or just becoming independent) but i get the feeling the SNP are using this to hide their own short comings.
