It’s inevitable we’re all on our way out
That looks like Ash die back….I think it’s f.ed.
I have Ash looking the same.
He’s dying. The bare branches that are visible don’t appear to have any live buds on them so they’ll decay and fall away, either in a storm or just naturally over time. The chances of survival for a tree in that condition are slim.
Are the limbs brittle?

I don’t always support the “go native, fuck everything else” circlejerk, but it is sad to see this ash dying.
yeah that’s ash dieback. I have several ash trees myself and they all have it to varying degrees. it really is a tragedy.
sorry OP but that tree is on the way out unfortunately. they can hang around for years but if you start to notice cracks in the trunk then maybe it’s time to consider getting it taken down.
I’m in Galway and have a great contact for someone who can help assess and deal with this tree. dm me if you want to.
Is your soil more clay based sometimes trees and plants don’t grows well depending on the soil
