It’s not just south dubliners lads

  1. Northsider here, it’s breaking my heart to see so many people recommend it. Giving them a click, let alone listening to them goes against every fibre of my being.

  2. Honestly don’t get the hate for them. I listen to them on the radio they definitely aren’t the worst presenters out there

  3. American been living in Ireland last 13 years and can’t bring myself to listen to it either. Rather put hot pokers in my eyes

  4. It’s honestly a miracle that anyone in this country has seen any form of long sustained success, because as soon as there is a whiff of doing well for yourself, everyone suddenly hates you.

  5. I was the same but I really really enjoyed it. Crazy story well worth a listen and the lads aren’t half as bad as I first thought.

  6. Two points to make here, and I am not a regular listener to the two Johnnies.

    1. The podcast is 100% worth a listen. The story is just nuts and I think if there is any little part of you that likes a hint of gossip you’ll enjoy it immensely.

    2. Are the two Johnnies that bad? I know their humour probably appeals to a specific crowd, GAA fans from rural Ireland etc. But they seem like two sound enough fellas IMO, and they have a knack for story telling which is what makes a podcast.

  7. Man these lads aren’t bad. I haven’t seen a rational argument as to what specifically people don’t like about them. It’s all “can’t stand the accent”, “these lads are awful” and so on. What don’t you like?

  8. For anyone curious, skip to 26mins! That’s where the story starts and is definitely worth a listen.

  9. The two lads seem sound enough. I don’t understand why they get so much hate tbh. Salty people who hate to see others doing well I reckon.

  10. Skip 25 mins into first episode and 17 mins into second episode to avoid some TOP BANTER AND SLAGGING which wouldn’t be my cup of tea now.
