Gardaí deploying electric vehicles!

  1. If we can put our prisoners on a big hamster wheel to generate electricity next we’d make some real fuel savings

  2. This is the perfect patrol car. Decent sized and plenty of space for equipment, they had issues getting their radio equipment into the i30s, has a real world range of about 300km and can charge 20%-80% in 30 mins at a suitable charger.

They still have the ICE performance cars if they need them for the elite units. But with police forces doing less and less chasing of offenders they don’t need ever police officer in a 500hp monster, especially when a lot of our police can’t use “blue’s and two’s”.

  3. Are Gardai allowed to park on the footpath like that? I mean officially, obviously they’re not going to ticket each other, but is there a legal exception?
