  1. So no chance of this being a stitch up and a fucking con job then….much

The establishment must love the power they have to keep pulling the wool over the general public’s eyes all helped by their compliant media

  2. So the report’s not independent, Johnson/ Downing St seem to be keen to get the jump on this story and essentially whitewash any bad optics, and we’re all being led down the garden path

Someone please reassure me that we’re a serious country and not basically a fucking banana republic at this point

  3. More corruption, countries have revolted over far less than this lot have done.

The apathy of the UK population is really starting to piss me off, why does no one give a shit anymore.

  4. Total backtrack from the corrupt for the corrupt. Its disgusting. No wonder he said he was looking forward to reading her report knowing full well he won’t be named. Never again borris will I ever vote for the concervatives. You was given votes from the disheartened Labour voters, you blew it.

  5. Can’t wait for them to redact the whole thing like the Russian report.

“We RelEaseD it Like you asked.

  6. >The pair would not have discussed the judgements that senior civil servant Ms Gray was preparing to come to in the report, multiple sources say.

Oh that’s OK then. I’m sure the anonymous sources are spot on with this statement /s

  7. Boris to sue “want to keep your job” Sue to Boris “yes” Boris “then do what I say” would it ever have been any different.

  8. This has got to be the most corrupt, most incompetent, most utterly inept British government of all time?

Worst part is that there are millions of sentient potatoes who will happily tell you ‘Boris dun his best!!!’

  9. Let’s not forget, this is a PM who now expects his citizens to be held to a much higher standard than himself.

If you are in receipt of benefits, just being late for one appointment (say if your bus is late,or if you didn’t actually receive information your appointment has been rescheduled, or if said information was never actually sent out) can see them cut for months – effectively a punitive fine for the most vulnerable of hundreds, if not thousands, of pounds.

However, if you’re Johnson, a £50 fine for something others were charged thousands for, and having the rest swept under the rug. Even his own party are up in arms at Johnson dodging more fines.

Johnson is not fit to lead if he cannot provide a good example to anyone at all, even his own kind.

  10. It certainly lends some credence to the idea that Johnson has found a way to circumvent diplomatic oversight by appointing fixers to key civil service positions.

Christopher Geidt the “Independent Adviser on Ministers’ Interests” is former military intelligence with aristocracy ties, works as an advisor for BAE Systems & Schroders and served as Private Secretary for the Queen so his independence is highly suspect. As Private Secretary his role would have been to protect the Royal Family above all else. His clearing of Johnson with regards to breaking the Ministerial code during the investigation into the donations/loan he’d received to renovate his flat was quite frankly unbelievable and reportedly his reputation has suffered as a result.

Sue Gray was almost certainly an MI5 agent and the [BBC reported](https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-57173404) in 2021 (well before “Party Gate” was a thing) that she “had a formidable reputation as a highly secretive enforcer”. In 2015 [they reported](https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-33431580) she works as a fixer for the head of the Civil Service, that “she likes to give advice which ministers like to hear”, that she’s notorious for her determination not to leave a document trail and has advised special advisors on how to destroy emails in order to avoid Freedom of Information Act requests. The current head of the Civil Service is Simon Case who mysteriously hasn’t been fined for attending the same party that Johnson and Sunak were fined for which has meant he hasn’t resigned keeping a Johnson loyalist in place. So we have a former spy working as fixer for the head of the Civil Service who was appointed by the PM investigating the Head of the Civil Service and PM. Supposedly Gray really wants to be head of the Northern Irish civil service so I suspect she will get that role in a few years.

These people are not exactly who I’d go to when looking for independent investigators but the PM holds all the power to appoint them.

  11. This is ridiculous, why wasn’t an independent body made up for it from opposing politicians. This is like asking a school kid to mark his own work..

  12. Everyone assumes that the Sue Gray report is somehow some independant study, when it is not. Johnson commissioned it. Johnson oversees it and Sue Gray reports directly to him.

It’s a stitch up and always has been.

  13. I heard that the discussion wasn’t about her report at all, but rather to discuss who is to be included in the next new year honours list. Totally above board. Nothing to see here.
