President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has returned to Abuja after concluding a state visit to the Republic of Türkiye.

The presidential aircraft, Nigeria Air Force One, landed at the presidential wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport on Saturday evening.

Tinubu was received by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, the Minister of Finance, Wale Edun, and the Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle.

The visit featured high-level engagements aimed at strengthening bilateral ties between Nigeria and Türkiye.

Tinubu held talks with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, with discussions focusing on security cooperation, military training and intelligence sharing to support Nigeria’s fight against insurgency.

Both countries also reaffirmed plans to expand economic relations, with a target of reaching a five billion dollar trade volume.
