In the fourth quarter of 2025, the seasonally adjusted Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the eurozone grew by 1.3% and that of the EU by 1.4%, a slowdown compared to the 1.4% and 1.6% recorded in the same period of the previous year.

According to the European statistical service, in quarterly terms, the eurozone GDP increased by 0.3% in both zones, remaining stable in the eurozone and registering a decline in the group of Member States (1.4% in the fourth quarter of 2024).

Between September and December 2025, Ireland’s economy grew the most (6.7%), followed by Lithuania (2.5%) and the Czech Republic (2.4%), in year-on-year terms, with no negative GDP change recorded in the 15 Member States for which data are available.

Compared with the previous quarter, Lithuania (1.7%) recorded the largest increase, followed by Spain and Portugal (0.8% each), while Ireland (-0.6%) was the only country to show a decrease.
