A person has been injured and State Highway 1 near Lake Grassmere in Marlborough was closed after a single-vehicle crash this morning.
Emergency services were called to the scene around 7.30am, according to police, where St John said one person sustained moderate injuries.
“The serious crash unit has been notified.”
State Highway 1 was closed between Grassmere Rd and Marfells Beach Rd, according to the NZ Transport Agency, impacting traffic between Seddon and Taimate.
“Please delay your journey or use an alternative route,” an NZTA spokesperson said.
St John responded with one ambulance to the crash.
The injured person has been taken to Wairau Hospital in Blenheim.
