Holcim Romania announces the acquisition of Uranus Pluton SRL, a granite quarry operator active since 2004 in Cerna, Tulcea County. The transaction represents a strategic step, aligned with Holcim’s strategy, which strengthens the company’s position in the market for infrastructure and railway construction materials.
Through this acquisition, Holcim Romania enters the market for quarry stone products used in asphalt production, railway applications, and large-scale projects. The transaction supports Holcim Romania’s priorities by expanding its portfolio of solutions, strengthening the value chain, and creating the conditions for long-term sustainable growth in Romania.
Uranus Pluton SRL currently has over 80 employees, who will continue their work within the existing business.
