Brilliant initiative that’s widespread in Europe already, long overdue.
Great idea, love to see companies doing things like this.
Great news.
Anyone know how these work, does it scan a barcode, what if the can is squashed, and how much do you get back?
These machines should be in every shop in the country. Great idea
Now do self checkouts
OK where are the negative Nancy’s that are gong to tell us this is a bad idea
I remember these in netto in Dresden 18 years ago. Mad were so behind
Lidl are brilliant, everything is cheap, parking is massive (and free), they pay staff decently and have good graduate programmes. This initiative is great too, you’re actually getting some money back from recycling!
Fair play 👏
This is a great idea but fuck me, OP you could have edited that title
Lovely idea, I saw them in Germany 16 years ago but better late than never. Let’s hope scrotes don’t ruin it
Nice to see it coming to Ireland. That said, the German system is probably the worst in Europe as it’s run by the manufacturers themselves. That kind of forces you back to the stores where you bought the stuff. Most other European countries has a nationalised system where bottle container sizes and deposits are standardised. That essentially lets you buy a Tesco branded beverage and return the empty bottle at Supervalu. Maybe an idea for the government to jump in and standardise this before Ireland ends up with the German system?
Ah, that’s pfand so.
I believe there’s a new law coming in next year that will see these everywhere.
What kind of shite is with the title?
What have the Romans ever done for us??
Nice! 🙂
‘Reverse vending machine’ what marketing gobshit dreamed up that name.
