  1. I don’t understand what numbers I’m looking at. Electricity is Germany is around 32 cents per kWh (!!!). This makes 320€ per MWh.

  2. Small reminder : these are spot prices, they are quite volatile and do not represent the final price. You need to add taxes, transportation and substract subsidies to get them.

  3. Ironically, Romania theoretically has a lot of resources to turn into Electricity but for some reason the price for it is the second highest in the EU.

  4. And the EU is looking to stop our coal plants which isnt bad but the electricity price will go up even more. Now compare that to the average income of the Bulgarians and see how many extra people will fall down the poverty line.

  5. Yes, Poland has ~1/3 lower energy cost than, for instance, Germany, with 4-5 times lower salaries at the same time. No surprise that energy cost ruins home budgets in Poland.

  6. Fun fact: president of Serbia is persuading citizens of Serbia that they have one of the cheapest electricity in the Europe.
