A completely normal situation according to some on this sub.
The perpetually outraged will be happy to see this.
Nothing wrong here. It’s happening on other places too. Ireland is not that bad. /s
I read this as 100k..
One of those 10K people is Ian Bailey of West Cork fame, who lives in emergency accommodation and has been sponging off the state for 20 odd years…
They should release an emergency accommodation cook book, with all the best recipes, like how to make hotdogs in a kettle and using a hair straightener wrapped in tin foil to heat soup.
If you voted FFFG this is your fault
And yet we still take it ten of thousands of people every week. We are a tiny little island and the natives are becoming impoverished but seem to support so called progressive politics over their own basic needs of having a home. The amount of brainwashing is incredible. I feel so sorry for the young in this country we have failed them.
Other countries are able to build tall buildings in cities, and then they let their citizens live in those buildings. Why are Irish people so against building homes?
Probably has something to do with the Ukrainian refugees though no?
If we just deported 2-3 million people we could stop worrying about housing for 10-15 years. It’d probably get HSE waiting lists under 6 months as well.
How many are homeless? Genuine question
It’s such a complicated topic. How do you distinguish who’s genuinely in need of accomodation because they can’t get a job in the foreseeable future due to whatever reasons (health, addicition, not enough qualification, language) and those who just believe they should get a 4 bedroom house for doing the bare minimum?

Maybe getting better income will help?
