Wildly popular slice shop, L’Industrie, is opening its third location in NYC, this one next to the 134-year-old Italian bakery, Ferrara, the neighborhood go-to for cannoli and lobster tails. Housed in what used to be Margherita at 197 Grand Street, between Mulberry and Mott streets, it’s a partnership among Massimo Laveglia, Nick Baglivo, and former general manager Manuel Jimenez. Laveglia says they’re updating the space and shooting to open in March. The location is the second L’Industrie in Manhattan, following its 2023 debut in the West Village; the original opened in Williamsburg in 2017. Eater has called it one of the best slice pizzerias in the city.

The Greenpoint spot that opened in 2021, Nura is closing on Sunday, February 15. The 80-seat restaurant at 46 Norman Avenue, near Guernsey Street, came from restaurateurs Scott Hawley and Michelle Lobo-Hawley following Bushwick’s Otis.It debuted with Jackie Carnesi as the head chef (who’s now steering the kitchens at Kellogg’s Diner in Williamsburg). The Indian-ish restaurant is closing six years to the day the owners signed the lease, they wrote on Instagram.
